  • AnonymousArtists beware of friending Notorious-Phoenix on fa. Very negative attitude after you buy her art and uses pressure on newly found friends to buy her art. I speak as anon as I was tricked into commissioning this user but she has recently been verbal abusing a member of a different fur community about their art being "similar". The victim artist proved to people that they did not copy/reference but she is making threats because she is in a high position. I regret commissioning her. PLEASE BEWARE!

    This is absolutely disgusting Anon. I became pretty close friends with Notorious-Phoenix after commissioning her (MY CHOICE, by the way, ABSOLUTELY no pressure involved) and she was nothing but pleasant and co-operative the whole way though and afterwards! (As mentioned, we’re still friends now and she’s never been anything but lovely)

    To accuse her of making threats is beyond sick, I know the situation all too well and this is a completely skewed version of events (surprise surprise the submission is on anon)
    It’s likely this submission is based on pure spite and I’d highly recommend you ignore it. Notorious-Phoenix is a wonderful artist to work with and there’s no reason for her to be on this page.

    I’d also like to point out that I have been friends with Notorious-Phoenix for over a year now, and during this time have helped her run an artist alley at a local furmeet.

    I can confirm that she has neverpressured anyone into commissioning her. Nor have I seen any evidence of her complaining about ‘similar’ artists.

    I think the best thing might be for the “victim artist” to provide proof themselves or talk to Notorious-Phoenix. I think that if this person wanted things like this posted then they would post it themselves right? Unless the anon happens to be this person. Seeing as they’re posting in 3rd person i’m guessing this person is a friend. Has the “victim artist” given you written permission to post publically about their afairs? Some people like to keep things private.

    I have been friends with the person in question for a good year now ( also by my own choice) and never have I felt pressured or seen them actively sought out to pressure someone into buying things from them or commissioning them. In fact the person in question has only motivated myself and other artists to strive to be better at art. She gives helpful tips when people ask for critique and is really wonderful at what she does.

    I want to thank this particular blog for asking for proof, as there was none provided in this original post. It’s not nice to slander someone’s name without proof. /:

    As far as I am aware the person in question and the “victim artist” are not in contact. Maybe the person should try talking to Notorious-Phoenix about how they feel? I think the best solution all round if for the two to talk it out like adults IF there is a problem of some sort. I don’t think she has had time to make anyone feel threatened because she has been busy with university work. Notorious-Pheonix is actually not taking any more comissions because they are busy. (This is all I know though.)

    I’m sorry but tough shit read it.
    Thanks. ^^;
